What has happened to deviantART?
I thought I'd take a few this morning and write this journal because well, quite frankly I can.
Granted, I'm not around here much these days and I'm busy working, doing what I love, photography. That being said however, I couldn't stay quiet any longer.
What in the world has happened to this site? Usually I blow things like this over and mind my own business but when it hits my wallet, well that's a different entirely and something needs to be said.
The site here seems to be dying, literally. I've noticed not only a huge drop in my viewership but also in other high profile photographers work as well. In fact, it's safe to say that in tha

A little insight on my painting process
Hey lovelies!
I've been getting this question a bunch of times so I finally got to compiling this all in a single post. Gonna be showing how I usually work on a piece dissecting my old Tomb Raider one. Not my best work, but I had all the steps and files saved for this one so I could explain every stage.
So take a looksie at the link below and if you have any questions drop me a question in the blog!

P.S. A lil disclaimer: this process does not apply to my sketches and stuff. Those suckers just happen. Slap some paint, scribble around for few h
I would like to start off by saying a big thank you to all of you guys who remembered your old gal and instead of wishing me a happy Valentine's day actually remembered that February 14th is in fact, more importantly, my birthday.
My original birthday that is - you see, when you get older at a certain point you start to mix up whether you're 45 or 46, 46 or 47 so you have to take your birth year, substract from the current year and calculate your age and all, it's all such a nuisance so who would really bother remembering my age and dates from being rebooted twice. Once is enough for me, thank you!
So, 47 eh? My god, time does fly. I'm s
Yep, it happens... and it happened to me recently. It can be really annoying and a major concern, especially with the "digital age" we live in. I want to kindly remind everyone to be careful when posting art online! It's so easy for people to download our pieces, use them without credit or even sell them! I've reported so many people online who have been selling Tomb Raider fan art pieces from dA, without consent from the artist.
As a precaution, I've made some changes to the way my art is viewable. Now, all my art is only viewable to dA members,. I've removed all the share buttons, downloads, and added a watermark. I know it's a bit of a do

UNEARTHED - Atlantis
Hello Groupies! It's that time where we show you true and interesting information based upon the places, artifacts, culture and mythology of Lara's travels. This time, we're bringing you the speculations and history of the island of Atlas, or better known as Atlantis. There are many ideas and theories of the location of the lost empire. Today, we will primarily focus on the most common and most plausible location and version which is believed to of been in the Atlantic Ocean between what is South America and Africa today, just south of of Iceland.
The origins of the speculation of the Atlantean civilization was truly started from Greek phil
Hi pals :)
thank you for your support.
I really hit some concrete and I've realized that there is no way how to help myself on my own.
If I do not want to lose that incredibly amazing number of 2-3 friends I have, I need to seek for expert help. One quite awful moment gave me some final kick.
I hope I can handle it.
DA does not make me happy anymore, so my activity is limited :)
New DA system is fantastic - now I see that there are only few photos of wild animals posted in last 8 hours. There used to be like 400 images posted in last 8 hours and I enjoyed browsing through them. All gone. I see that even the most amazing artists I admi

Welcome.
Many of you have been in this community for a long time, but whether you’ve just joined or you’ve been a member since day one, this is your first impression of the new DeviantArt.
Change is not something that we take lightly, because it affects our collective identity. It was important for us to define who we are and what we’re made of at our core before we changed anything. We all have our own understanding of what that means, but the process of getting that core story down on paper took almost a year.
The result is “Bleed and Breed Art.&

14 Years!
This also makes you half my current age, which is sweet. Guess I've always had a thing for noticeable numbers. Speaking of which... my very first account I created with you tells me we've already had our 10th anniversary this January. Dude, since 2004, you've been a huge part of my creative development.
Seriously, it's crazy how much I've learned and how many extraordinary people I've met here, starting with the most amazing and talented folks from all over the world and even my neck of the woods (Frankfurt, Germany - back then, that was pretty extraordinary and most coincidental.) Funny, how simple comme

The current popularity of the bloody and salacious Game of Thrones and a host of paler imitators may have roots in Cate Blanchett’s Oscar-worthy performance as the historical Elizabeth (1998), the Queen who was perhaps the most imp
